Hi! I'm Aubrey.
I am an artist based in LA (but from the good 'ol Midwest). This blog is a record of my life as a painter/artist. It is here to help me keep my place and motivation, ground me to learning and be a connection to other artists.

Revenge 4

Went to see True Grit this past weekend. I'm not going to give any details away but it is a story largely about revenge so I thought a portrait of the young lady in the film would be a good contribution to the revenge sketchbook:

I'm wanting to see the re-make of the movie. I'm hoping it's good. I remember watching the old one on tv as a kid.

Aubrey - your sketchbook puts mine to shame! : O AWESOME work!! Do you use a sharpie and pencil crayon or is it all pencil? Vivid, fresh, alive, well designed...Beautiful work!!

Kim- that's absolutely not true but thank you for the complement. I just used colored pencils on this one but sometimes I add in a ballpoint pen for emphasis.
